DRAGUC:
The churches of Draguc are the best witnesses of its luxurious medieval beauty. The oldest
one is the Church of the St. Elysium built in the l2th century. It is
situated on the graveyard and it was painted in l3th century by the hand
of an unknown master. Asthe altar stone (mensa) at the St. Elysium a Roman stela was used.
Even today it can be found at the same place where it had been put by the builders of
church. Between the l4th and the l6th century the presbyters of Dragué incised many
Glagolitic graffiti all over the walls.
The parish Church of the Holy Cross was mentioned for the first time
inthe 15 century and reconstructed a few times during the following centuries. The organ
was built in 1717 and the altar pala with figures of St. Fabian and St. Sebastian was
painted in 1848 by Venerio Tervisan.
The Church of Our Lady of Rosary (The Blessed Virgin Mary of the Holy
Rosary) was erected in 1641 on the spot of a former church whose altar with the late
Gothic statue of Our Lady of Carmel was preserved. Many objects which once betonged to
some other churches of Draguc are preserved here. Among these objects there are the statue
of St. Sylvester from the church bearing the same name which was at Stari Draguc (The Old
Draguc), retable showing the Old- Testament saints from the church of St. Elysium, and the
retable from the Church of St. Rochus. The Church of St. Rochus is
situated on the same spot of the former entrance to the town. It was built at the
beginning of the l6th century. The church was richly painted by Antun from Padova in 1529
and 1537. Besides the most impressive cycle of frescoes, the walls of st. Rochus are a
real treasury of Glagolitic graffity which were incised over the walls by the priests of
Draguc during the l6th century.

GRIMALDA:
Grimalda is an ancient parish which was mentioned for the first time in 1202. The Romanic
Church of St. George situated on the graveyard was erected in l3th
century and reconstructed during the Gothic period when pillars were added on its outside.
Towards the end of the last century, in 1891, beside the old church, the new parish
Church of St. George was built in Neoclassical style.

GOLOGORICA:
The parish Church of St. Peter and Paul was erected in l7th century on
the same spot where a church had been before. The reliefs from 1466, which were built into
the facade of the today's church, had belonged to it.
In front of the entrance to the town there is the Romanic Church of the
Blessed Virgin Mary "Kod Lokve" (near the pool) which was
painted by an unknown master in 1400. As in many similar churches in the central Istria,
the walls of this church were also incised with Glagolitic incision from 1549.
