The small, typically Mediterranean
town of Novigrad (Cittanova; meaning the new town) is situated on the west coast of
Istria, on a small peninsula closing a deep, well protected harbour. This ancient urban
centre rich with testimonies of its long history is one of the western gates of Croatia,
Istria and Adriatic, the warmest European sea.

Summers are warm and sunny with the
sea temperature ranging from 22 do 24 °C, winters are mild and without snow. One can
enjoy swimming from the end od May up to the end of September along the stretch of rocks
or pebble beaches bordered with refreshing rich and aromatic Mediterranean vegetation.
